Coasteering in Ålesund, the wildest and most exciting way to experience the Norwegian coastline.
The wildest and most exciting way to experience the Norwegian coastline.
Ålesund is the world-famous Norwegian city with the open sea, the deep fjords and the spectacular Sunnmøre peaks as its closest neighbors. There are many ways to experience Ålesund, but we want to highlight a very special tour that will definitely give you a memory for life!
Coasteering is a relatively new activity that is all about experiencing the sea, the coast and the shoreline in a completely new and exciting way. With a wetsuit, helmet and life jacket, you are ready to get closer to the elements than ever before. On this tour, we will swim, jump and dive out by our coast - and enjoy both the wildlife, the forces of nature and the adventurous views along the way.
Our coasteering takes place near Tueneset - a ten-minute drive from our base in Ålesund city center. Right by the famous aquarium Atlanterhavsparken, we start with a small safety briefing before we jump into the sea. At Tueneset, we have exciting rock formations. The worse the weather is, the tougher the tour gets! This is actually the perfect activity to do on days with rain and wind - common weatherf here in Ålesund!
During the tour you will not only feel some adrenaline and excitement, but also learn about the marine life around us. You don't need to dive into the sea or jump from cliffs to have a good tour. We tailor each tour according to the group's needs and there are good opportunities to challenge yourself if you want to.

Transport
Most of our guests prefer to drive their own cars from our office in Ålesund to Tueneset (about ten minutes). This way you do not need to follow us back to our office after the tour. After the tour, you return the equipment and clothing you have been provided with at Tueneset. If you prefer transport with us, you must inform us of this when booking. You will be asked about this when you book.
NOTE: You will save 15-30 minutes by driving your own car because you do not have to follow us back to the office.
