Fishing trip in Ålesund

On board MS Gamle Havstein, a classic boat combining tradition and comfort, we invite you to explore the rich fishing grounds around Ålesund and the islands just outside the city. The tour is designed to give you an intimate and authentic experience, with a maximum of 12 guests per departure.

The trip starts in Ålesund harbour, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the city’s famous Art Nouveau architecture and the surrounding islands. From here, we head out towards open waters and the best fishing spots in the area, carefully selected based on season and weather conditions.

Our experienced crew will take you to the locations where the chances of a good catch are highest. Along the way, you’ll not only have the opportunity to fish, but also learn about local coastal culture, how to gut fish, and how to handle your catch. Any fish you catch can of course be taken home as a memorable – and tasty – souvenir from the day.

On the way back to Ålesund, the guide prepares part of the catch on board, giving you the chance to taste fresh fish straight from the sea – a true coastal experience from ocean to table.
