A 6 hours hike to the summit of Storhornet on Godøya island with great views over the Atlantic ocean and the Sunnmøre Alps.
Located on Godøya, an island outside Ålesund, Storhornet offers a beautiful hike combining maritime and alpine feelings. After a superb hike, you’ll get rewarded with a stunning 360° panorama over the Atlantic ocean, Ålesund & the Sunnmøre Alps.
We start hiking from Alnes lighthouse, a beautifully located lighthouse. After reaching the first ridge, we follow along the north side of Alnesvatnet. Before we the last push towards the summit we will take a short detour to Johan Skytt, a rock stretching out over the edge. From here we follow the trail up to the summit. While your enjoying a well deserved rest, soaking in the views, it will be easy to understand why this is one of our favorite hikes around Ålesund.

Important information
Participants
Minimum number of participants are 4. If there are too few, you will be offered to reschedule or join one of our other tours. If you decide not to reschedule or join another tour, you will be refunded.
Alternative dates
If you can participate other days than the booked date, please comment on the booking. It becomes easier for us if we need to do adjustments due to too few participants or weather conditions.
Cancellation
If trips are cancelled by Uteguiden, either due to extreme weather or too few participants, the cost of the trip will be refunded in full.
During the pandemic of COVID-19, we offer our clients an extended cancellation policy. If you are not allowed to travel due to corona-related travel restrictions, you will get a full refund when you cancel your trip until 7 days before the start date.
