Highly recommended! The beginners course offered from our base in Ålesund is perfect for those who would like to become a proper sea kayaker and learn all the basic skills.
We spend two full days learning the basics of kayaking and exploring the surrounding fjords in Ålesund. In addition to experiencing the beautiful natural beauty of our region, participants learn paddling technique and sea kayaking safety. With this course you will get an solid introduction to paddling and a lot of useful experiences. You will master sea kayaking in sheltered areas, and ready for both day- and multi-day trips. Upon completion of the course participants receive a certification from the Norwegian Paddle Association. The Beginners Course is suitable for all guests, no matter previous kayaking experience.

Minimum number of participants are 3. If there are too few, you will be offered to reschedule or join one of our other tours. If you decide not to reschedule or join another tour, you will be refunded.
Cancellation
If trips are cancelled by Uteguiden, either due to extreme weather or too few participants, the cost of the trip will be refunded in full.
