A perfect combination of kayaking to Hessa Island and hiking to Mt.Sukkertoppen is a great way to experience the best of Ålesund.
This is a 6 hour kayak & hike trip starting at our activity centre in Ålesund. We start with kayaking through Brosundet before crossing Aspevågen south of Ålesund city. Rounding Slinning point, home of the famous Slinning bonfire, and put the kayaks to shore at Hessa where we start our hike towards Mt. Sukkertoppen. The hike is fairly easy and give you a prefect overview of Ålesund city and the island around. It`s a bucketlist trip in Ålesund!
We meet up at our activity centre in Ålesund city were we have a perfect starting point for kayak trips. Here you will get equipped with all the mandatory equipment and get a safety breefing before we leave.

- Hiking on natural trail
- You should be in good physical shape and bring good hiking shoes
- Local lunch is included, and will be consumed with a beautiful view.

What to bring
- Good shoes suitable for hiking on natural trail
- Small backpack (10-15l.)
- Windproof- and waterproof jacket for better heat and comfort
- Warm sweater of fleece or wool
- Hat and gloves could be smart to bring
- Cap, sunglasses and sunscreen are recommended if it’s sunny
- Bottle of water
- Camera.

Minimum number of participants are 3. If there are too few, you will be offered to reschedule or join one of our other tours. If you decide not to reschedule or join another tour, you will be refunded.
Cancellation
If trips are cancelled by Uteguiden, either due to extreme weather or too few participants, the cost of the trip will be refunded in full.
