RIB Tour to Saltstraumen and Sea Eagle Safari
Saltstraumen is an experience you can’t miss when you’re in Bodø. In a single tour, you can experience the world’s strongest tidal current, a sea eagle safari, and sea rafting. Saltstraumen is at its strongest four times a day—based on these times, we’ll take you there by RIB.

What is Saltstraumen?
Saltstraumen is one of Europe’s Wild Wonders. Every six hours, up to 400 million cubic meters of seawater force their way through the 150-meter-wide strait. The current can reach speeds of up to 20 knots, creating whirlpools up to 10 meters in diameter. An attraction you shouldn’t miss.
White-tailed Eagle Safari and Sightseeing
The white-tailed seaeagle is Northern Europe’s largest bird of prey, with a wingspan of up to 2.4 meters. We make several stops on the way to Saltstraumen, where we’ll tell you about the surroundings and focus on getting the eagles close to the boat. So don’t forget to bring your camera!
Our skippers have many years of experience and knowledge, and we focus on tailoring the trip to suit our guests, based on who is joining the tour.
Tilleggsinformasjon
Meeting point: At our floating office in the small boat harbor in Bodø. We’re located right below the Stormen Library.
Meeting time: Please arrive 15 minutes before departure.
Included in the price: Rental of a thermal/floatation suit, life jacket, and goggles. We also have hats and mittens available to borrow.
What to bring: If it’s raining or cold: waterproof shoes with thick soles and weather-appropriate clothing. If its raining/cold we recomend water proof pants and Jacket to have under the floating suit.
We recommend comfortable pants and warm clothing if it’s chilly. We
recommend bringing your own mittens/gloves and beanie for your head if the weather is cold, but we also have them available for loan.

50% refund between 48 and 24 hours before the tour starts.
No refund for cancellations less than 24 hours before the tour starts.
Please note that the tour may be canceled due to weather conditions. The full amount will be refunded.
