About the experience
The tour starts with transportation from Wood Hotel and pickup at Radisson BLU in Bodø city center. From there, you will drive up to Alberthaugen and the base for the Sami excursion.
Here, you will experience about 3 hours of Sami culture and history presentation, including feeding the amazing reindeer and lasso throwing. We will then go into the lavvo where a three-course Sami meal will be served. After the meal, chaga (tea) will be served around the campfire, and you will hear Sami history and joik (traditional Sami singing). Water will be provided with the meal, and any other drinks must be purchased and paid for by each participant.
Tilleggsinformasjon
Since the temperature in the lavvo can vary, it is advisable to wear warm clothes and shoes. A hat and gloves are also good to have with you.
