About the experience
Welcome to our local Sami excursion in Bodø.
The excursion start from Bodø Tourist information at 12:45 o’clock
with pick up by bus to the Sami lavvo (siida).
At the tour to the siida you will be told a short story about Bodø
and showed pictures from our city and area.
When we arrival the siida, you will experience of Sami culture and
history dissemination including feeding the wonderful reindeer.
In addition, local drink broth or chaga/tea are served around the
campfire while you listen to Sami history of this family and how
they to day work and leaving with the reindeer.
The visit inside the siida will end with “joiking” (traditional Sami song).
After the visit at the Sami camp, we will drive back to Bodø centrum.
Tour takes about 2,5 hours.
