Rib Fjord Safari

For the period 11.feb-30 may and 18 sept -29 oct: Departure Odda 09:00, 11.00 Departure Hotel Ullensvang 15:00, 17:00 For the period 1 June-17 sept: Departure from both Hotel Ullensvang and Odda at 09:00, 15:00 During the main season, the departure 11.00 is replaced with the tour RIB Fjordsafari with Sider tasting. The departure 17.00 is replaced with the tour Fjordsafari Sider Delux.‍

About the activity

The RIB is an abbreviation for “rigid inflatable boat” and it is the fastest boat on this end of the Hardangerfjord. You can choose to start your RIB tour in downtown Odda or by Hotel Ullensvang in Lofthus. Once in the RIB, you lean back and enjoy the ride, jump the waves – if there are any – and feel the wind in your face. With a bit of luck, you might spot some porpoise whales or even one of the golden eagles nesting by the steep cliffs along the fjord. 

This boat ride is simply the ideal way to learn a lot about the Trolltunga region in a short amount of time. Over two hours your skipper/guide takes you to some of the most interesting spots and attractions by the fjord and shares many fun facts and fascinating stories about the glacier, farming tradition, industrial heritage of the area and much more.
