We are proud to present a newly developed, three-day self-guided cycling adventure, complete with professional luggage transport and support staff on hand. This tour is designed to be a world-class experience where every detail is curated for comfort.

You pedal – we handle the rest.

This is "slow travel" at its finest. It is an intimate journey that brings you close to the scents of the sea, the raw power of nature, and the warmth of the local culture. With manageable daily stages of 26 to 34 kilometers, you have plenty of time to explore. Choose between a modern electric bike for extra ease or a classic hybrid bicycle.

The journey commences in the shadow of the Seven Sisters in Sandnessjøen and concludes in the coastal hub of Brønnøysund. From here, you can seamlessly connect with the southbound Coastal Express (Hurtigruten/Havila), waking up in the historic city of Trondheim the following morning.

Tour Highlights:

Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrival: Sandnessjøen (Saturday) The adventure begins tomorrow, but we recommend arriving a day early to soak in the atmosphere. Your stay at Scandic Syv Søstre is included. Join us for an information meeting and bike fitting at 19:00. Dinner is at your leisure—we are happy to provide local recommendations.

Day 1: Dønna & Herøy – The Majesty of the Peaks (34 km) After breakfast, a ferry takes you to Bjørn on the island of Dønna. Today’s ride follows the shoreline with panoramic views of the "Seven Sisters" mountain range to the east and "Dønnamannen" to the west. Your tour leader will serve a signature picnic lunch featuring local fish burgers and refreshments along the way. After crossing the first bridge, you reach Herøy—a cyclist’s paradise with flat roads and minimal traffic. We recommend a stop at the boutique Etcetera, a unique oasis of interior design and local coffee. Tonight’s destination is Havkanten Gjestehus, located in the historic fishing village of Husvær. Here, heated hot tubs and an exquisite three-course seafood dinner await you on the pier.

Day 2: Vega & Brønnøysund – Into the World Heritage (25 km) A morning express boat whisk you through the heart of the Vega Archipelago. At Gardsøya, we recommend visiting the World Heritage Center to learn the 1,500-year-old story of the eider ducks and the islanders. For those seeking a view, the 2,000 steps of the Vega Stairs offer a breathtaking perspective of the Atlantic. In the afternoon, catch the express boat to Brønnøysund. You will stay two nights at Thon Hotel Brønnøysund, located right by the harbor. In the evening, you have the option to join a famous 4-course culinary experience at the gourmet restaurant Svang.

Day 3: Torghatten – The Iconic Landmark (26 km) Cycle to the foot of Torghatten (13 km each way). The trail to the famous hole through the mountain has been recently upgraded with stone steps for easy access. On your return, we suggest a stop at the Norwegian Aquaculture Center at Toft for an engaging guided tour and a fresh seafood lunch. Bike return is coordinated locally in Brønnøysund.
