Herøy: Guidet tour in the midnight sun
See all dates and details for this experienceAbout the experience
A guided evening kayak tour in sheltered waters along the Helgeland coast. With views toward Lovund, Dønnamannen, and the Seven Sisters, we paddle in the evening light and often calm seas, with good opportunities to observe active wildlife. The tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced paddlers.
This guided evening kayak tour offers a truly special experience along the Helgeland coast. We paddle through sheltered waters at an easy pace, as the landscape opens up with views toward Lovund, Dønnamannen, and the Seven Sisters mountain range on the horizon.
On late evenings, the sea is often completely calm and the light over the archipelago is exceptional. The evening sun can bathe the mountains and coastline in warm tones, creating ideal conditions for photography and quiet reflection. This is a tour where nature takes center stage, giving you time to slow down and fully absorb your surroundings. Wildlife is often more active in the evening, increasing the chances of spotting seabirds and other coastal wildlife up close.
The tour is suitable for both beginners and more experienced paddlers who are looking for a relaxed and atmospheric experience. With a guide present throughout the tour, you can enjoy a safe and well-organized outing while focusing on the moment rather than performance.
The evening tour is scheduled to align with ferry arrivals and departures to and from Herøy, making it easily accessible even for visitors without a car. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a memorable coastal nature experience after a day of travel or activities.
