A guided kayak tour through the Øksningan archipelago with calm paddling, rich wildlife, and excellent chances of seeing sea eagles. Includes a short island stop with refreshments and an optional walk to a viewpoint overlooking the islands.
Our most popular kayak tour takes you into the beautiful island archipelago of Øksningan, an area known for its scattered islands, varied coastline, and rich wildlife. The tour is mostly paddled in sheltered waters close to shore, creating calm conditions and an ideal setting to experience the coastal landscape up close.
Along the way, we stop on one of the islands for a short break, where drinks and a light snack are served. For those who wish, there is also the opportunity to take a short walk up a small summit to enjoy panoramic views over the archipelago and the surrounding coastline. This viewpoint offers a unique perspective and is a highlight for many participants.
Øksningan is well known for its birdlife, and there is a very high chance of spotting white-tailed sea eagles during the tour. Seeing these impressive birds from a kayak is often a memorable highlight and a truly special nature experience.

Equipment:
We provide you with the essentials for kayaking. You could bring a pair of sandals to avoid getting your shoes wet.
We mainly use stable double tandem kayaks that are well suited for this type of tour, but we also offer single kayaks for experienced paddlers with a valid paddling certificate.
Schedule:
09:00: Meet your guide at the location. You will be given equipment, including your kayak, and receive important information about the tour.
09:45-10:00: We begin paddling towards Øksningan.
11:30: Lunch break on one of the islands. We’ll serve coffee, juice, and fresh baguettes.
There will also be an opportunity to hike a small hilltop for a stunning view of the surrounding archipelago and to take photos.
After lunch, we paddle back and expect to return to shore around 13:30-14:00.

Important information
To cancel you must contact us by Email: henning@heroy-kajakk.no. If you wish to change date or activity we will try our best but this can not be guaranteed and our cancellation policies are followed if not.
Cancellation policy for guided tours:
– Cancellations can be made until 14 days before the start of the tour, with a 90% refund
– Cancellations between 14-7 days before the start of the tour, with a 50% refund
– Cancellations less than 7 days before the start of the tour will not be refunded.
We charge the amount in NKR from your card on the day of the booking. A refunded amount will reflect the exchange rate on the day the refund is issued and not the exact amount you paid in your currency.
Cancellations/changes by us: Karlsen Kajakk & Sykkel ENK, and our partners reserve the right to cancel the activity at any point for safety reasons. In this event you will be offered an alternative product or date. If you wish to decline this, you will receive a 100% refund.
Our booking conditions and any agreement to which they apply are governed in all respects by Norwegian law. We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which arises between us out of or in connection with your contract or booking will be dealt with by the local court.
