Øyfjellgrotta is a 500-meter-long limestone cave located right by Mosjøen. Caving may be an unfamiliar activity for many, but with us, you can explore a new world in a safe and secure manner.
Øyfjellgrotta offers a suitable challenge for most, featuring exciting passages, a bit of crawling, an underground river, and plenty to see for the observant eye. The walk to the cave from the parking area is short, but there's a steep section before reaching the entrance, so we'll take our time here!

The trip can be completed regardless of the weather.
Meeting place
You will meet our guide at our office (Ytterøra 23, Mosjøen). Here you will get the equipment before we drive out to the cave - just a couple of minutes from our office by car. If transportation is needed, please reach out to us at post@hinorth.no.
Important information
Øyfjell cave is a large cave and has a few narrow sections that need to be passed. If you have claustrophobia, it can still be challenging. General normal fitness is required.
Practical information
You will need regular hiking clothes and preferably shoes that are waterproof. We lend overalls for adults and overcoats for children, gloves, helmets and headlamps. We serve coffee, juice and biscuits or chocolate on the trip.
