About the experience

Climb Øyfjellet in our excitingVia Ferrata. Take the challenge and feel the satisfaction as you reach the summit! Finish off your mountain adventure by soaring down our 700-meter-long Zipline.

Take the challenge and feel the satisfaction as you reach the summit! An exciting climbing adventure awaits you at Øyfjellet just outside Mosjøen. Hook yourself onto the thick wire that is securely attached to the mountainside and ascend safely using natural holds and steps in the mountain.

This mountain-climbing adventure doesn’t require any specialised knowledge or prior experience. On our way back, we will walk the famous Sherpa stairway, Helgelandstrappa. From 70 meters above sea level, we will find our 700-meter-long zipline! From here you can savor a bird’s eye view of the historic Sjøgata street, Mosjøen and the town’s environs as you fly over the salmon river Vefsna, landing in the beautiful gardens of Fru Haugans Hotel. A fantastic fun and memorable day ending with an incredible adrenalin rush! Before takeoff, we will secure your body harness to the powerful wire. An automatic braking system ensures a safe airborne adventure!

What is included?

Included in the trip is an experienced guide and all necessary safety equipment such as a helmet, harness and fall absorber (connection to the wire).

Conditions

Children must weigh a minimum of 40 kg and be 12 years of age this year. We have a minimum number of 2 participants for the completion of the trip.

NB! When booking less than 15 hours before departure, please contact us by email for confirmation. Normal good fitness is recommended, but no climbing experience is required to participate in the trip.

What should I bring?

We recommend that you wear clothes according to the weather and shoes with good grip (preferably Vibram soles). Bring a daypack with an extra sweater and windproof jacket, packed lunch, plenty of drinks, sunglasses and sunscreen if you are sunny. Gloves can be bought for NOK 95.

It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the city center, follow the signs towards the airport and walk/drive across the bridge. As soon as you have passed the bridge, turn right and continue towards the mountain until on the left side of the road you see an orange building marked with our logo. Here our guides will meet you and provide the necessary instructions and hand out the equipment before starting your trip. See map here.
