This exciting climbing adventure awaits you on Øyfjellet, just outside the center of Mosjøen. This option is tailored for those who already have the necessary experience with Via Ferrata or steep alpine terrain, and who prefer to climb without a guide. The hike begins by following the famous Helgelandstrappa (The Helgeland Stairs) before connecting to the actual climbing route.

The Via Ferrata is divided into two sections, offering unique perspectives of the landscape. Halfway up, you will find an excellent viewpoint perfect for a lunch break, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Mosjøen, the fjord, and the surrounding mountains.

On your way down from the mountain, you can choose to top off the day with a ride on Northern Norway's longest zipline (must be booked separately).

Important safety information: All climbing and movement on the mountain are at your own risk. The participant must ensure they possess the necessary skills required to navigate the route safely. Guided tours have priority on the climbing route.

Practical information:

What is included? Rental of an approved helmet, climbing harness, and an energy-absorbing lanyard (Via Ferrata set), as well as the mandatory climbing fee.
Conditions: Children must weigh a minimum of 40 kg and turn 12 years old within the current calendar year. Rental requires signing a liability waiver upon arrival. Normal physical fitness is recommended. The equipment must be returned at the agreed-upon time.
What should I bring? Good shoes with solid grip (preferably Vibram soles), climbing gloves, weather-appropriate clothing, a daypack with an extra sweater and a windproof jacket, a packed lunch, plenty of water, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Gloves can be purchased at the meeting point.
Meeting point: Meet at our kiosk on "Øya" below Øyfjellet. Follow the signs towards the airport, walk or drive across the bridge, take a right, and you will see our kiosk marked with our logo on the left side. You will receive your equipment here.

What is included?

Included in the trip is an experienced guide and all necessary safety equipment such as a helmet, harness and fall absorber (connection to the wire).

Conditions

Children must weigh a minimum of 40 kg and be 12 years of age this year. We have a minimum number of 2 participants for the completion of the trip. Normal good fitness is recommended, but no climbing experience is required to participate on the tour.

What should I bring?

We recommend that you wear clothes according to the weather and shoes with good grip (preferably Vibram soles). Bring a daypack with an extra sweater and windproof jacket, lunch, water and sunglasses. Gloves can be bought on site.

It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the city center, follow the signs towards the airport and walk/drive across the bridge. As soon as you have passed the bridge, turn right and continue towards the mountain until on the left side of the road you see our orange HQ with our logo in front. Your guides will meet you there, provide the necessary instructions and hand out the equipment before starting your trip. See map here.
