Traditional Climbing Course

The Traditional Climbing Course – 5 days will provide you with a solid introduction to climbing with natural protection. The course takes place in the mountains and cliffs around Henningsvær/Kalle in Lofoten.

Content

You will learn about climbing technique, belaying techniques, natural protection, partner rescue, how to set up belay stations, and rope communication, all within a safe environment and under the guidance of experienced instructors. There will be close follow-up throughout the course.

Course Objectives

The goal of this course is to give you enough knowledge and skills to be a participant in a rope team or tackle simple multi-pitch routes on your own. You will learn about climbing techniques, safety, communication in the rope team, route and equipment selection, and much more. Upon completion of the course, you will feel more confident in climbing and be better prepared for your next climbing adventure.
