We have only one car for each modell. All our vehicles are for sale, the same vehicles are for rent on cruise days. The cars can be rented for 3,5 hours; 5 hours or for the full day – meaning the ships departure time. All prices include full insurance; fuel; free mileage; second driver and a childrens car seat or booster seat if necessary. When you finish your trip you return the car regardless of fuel level. The toll for roads are not included passing the Hardangerbrua bridge and other roads with autopass, this is an additional amount – let us know if you have passed such a road or this will be sent as an additional fee at a later time. The bridge is NOK280,- return and this amount will be paid once you return or in advance if you know for certain you will cross. If the client has booked for the full day but return after 5 hours, no refund will be given. If the client books for 5 hours and wishes to keep the car for longer, it is possible by paying a fee on your return after agreement.
If you have booked a specific car and the car has been sold in the meantime, Eidfjord Autorent commits to providing a car suitable for the amount of passengers. If you have booked a 5 door vehicle for up to 4 persons, but the car is not suitable for a rental or sold, the customer needs to accept a 3 door vehicle with 4 seats. In which case the vehicle is unsuitable or sold by the rental date, and not possible to replace – Eidfjord Autorent will refund you the amount in full.

Legal regulation for child seats
Legal regulations Under 135 cm: It is mandatory to use approved child restraint equipment (such as a car seat or booster seat) adapted to the child's weight and height. Between 135 cm and 150 cm: The child must use approved child restraint equipment if it is available in the car. If not, they can use the car's regular seat belt. Over 150 cm: The child is secured with the car's regular seat belt. Driver's responsibility: The driver is responsible for ensuring that children under 15 years of age are legally secured in the car. Front airbag: A rear-facing child seat should never be placed in a front seat with an active airbag. A child under 140 cm should avoid sitting in the front seat if the airbag is active and cannot be deactivated.

Cancellation terms:
- if you cancel more than 7 days after the booking date and at least 24 hours before you are to collect the car, a fee may apply.
- If you cancel within 24 hours before the start of the tenancy, you will receive a full refund minus the non-refundable service fee. The service fee is 20% of the full rental cost.
- If you cancel after the tenancy should have started, or if you do not show up, you will not receive a refund and lose the entire amount.
- If you cancel the booking due to a change in itinerary of the ships route and you won’t come to Eidfjord you will recieve a full refund minus the service fee. The service fee is 20% of the full rental cost. .
- If there are problems at Eidfjord Autorent AS which means that the customer cannot rent the car that he has booked, such as the car not being available anymore. the entire amount will be refunded to the customer without a service fee.
No refund will be given if you cannot arrive due to unforeseen circumstances such as if the ship is unable to dock or due to unforseen illness as this is usually covered by travel insurance.
