About the experience

With our stable paddleboards, playful activities, and easy instruction, both children and adults can enjoy a safe and memorable experience on the water – perfect for first-time paddlers and curious adventurers.
This tour is designed for families with children of all ages and is conducted at a relaxed pace, focusing on safety, confidence, and enjoying nature together. Children are encouraged to explore the water at their own pace, while adults can take in the stunning views and spend quality time with the family.
Our equipment is suitable for paddlers aged 8 and up. Younger children are welcome to join sitting on a board with an adult – no extra cost.
Our guide lives on the island year-round and is certified by ISA (International Surfing Association).
Feel free to bring your camera or phone out on the water – If you don't have your own, you can borrow a waterproof bag and/or phone case from us. We'll make plenty of stops along the way so you can capture the scenery, and your guide will also share photos from the tour afterwards.
Equipment
We provide all necessary equipment, including paddle clothing and a PFD (Personal floating device).
We use top-quality expedition SUP boards for adults that can carry paddlers up to 110 kg, while still being stable on the water – this is worth noting because it will give you the best possible paddling experience.
For kids we have two different board sizes and kiddy paddles.
Small groups
We paddle in small groups – maximum 6 participants per tour.
Safety first
Before we head out on the fjord, we provide a safety briefing, talk about how to handle the equipment and give some tips on paddling technique.

Requirements
- You need to be in normal physical condition.
- Minimum age is 8 years. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult. Smaller kids can sit on the board together with an adult.
- All participants participate at their own risk.
- We recommend that all participants have insurance.

Important information
TERMS AND LIABILITY
Cancellation
- We offer a full refund if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the tour starts.
Change of date
- Participants can change their booking to a different date than the one originally booked, free of charge, up to 1 week before the original booking date.
- If participants wish to change the tour date less than 1 week before the booked tour date, it may be possible to secure a spot on a later date, provided there is availability on the newly desired date.
Cancellation by Provider
- Tours canceled due to "Force Majeure" do not qualify for a refund.
- If a tour is canceled by us due to poor or unfavorable wind conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, the customer will receive an alternative offer of equal or higher value. If the new offer is not accepted, we will issue a full refund.
Liability
- Participation in our activities is at your own risk. SUP Adventures Lofoten AS is not liable for personal injuries, loss of personal belongings, or damage to your own equipment that may occur during the tour.
- We strongly recommend that all participants have valid insurance.
