Embark on an unforgettable snowmobile safari through the Arctic wilderness of Finnmarksvidda, Europe's largest mountain plateau. Experience the thrill of snowmobiling while immersing yourself in the magical winter landscape, and keep your eyes peeled for the elusive Northern Lights, which may appear in all their glory above you during the evening.
Upon arrival, you will be provided with warm clothes and boots for the evening. After this, we will go through our safety instructions and give you a practical demonstration on how to drive a snowmobile.
You will be driving in pairs, one driver and one passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to switch places during the trip. The tour will take you through a snow covered forest all the way up to the Beskades Mountain range, the beginning of Finnmarksvidda. You will be on this snowmobiling adventure for approximately 2 hours, depending on the weather and snow conditions.
If we are lucky we will get to see the magnificent northern lights dancing across the sky on our trip, or be treated with a beautiful arctic night sky. Even though this tour is not focused on hunting the Northern Lights, being outside on a dark winter evening might give a wonderful opportunity to witness the lights while going out on this adventure. (After the middle of March our days will get longer as we are drifting towards the midnight sun. Instead of the Northern Light you will be able to witness spectacular sunsets.)
No previous experience is required to drive a snowmobile. All you need is a regular driver’s license, and it’s as simple as it is fun.

Changes to the trip due to weather conditions may occur. Changes may occur due to weather. Æventyr reserves the right to change the itinerary or cancel the trip if the weather conditions appear unsafe.
Wear warm clothes and shoes in accordance with the weather forecast and season.
You will share a snowmobile with another passenger, so each of you will get to drive half of the trip. If you want to drive all by yourself, simply add the Single Driver Add-On when booking.
Only the holders of a valid B class driver’s license are allowed to drive a snowmobile in Norway. You are required to present your license for verification before taking part on the ride. Guests without a valid driving license are only allowed to be passengers (min. age is 12)
This trip is not recommended for those who have back problems or for those who are pregnant.
Our guides will try their best to find the northern lights for you, but as the lights are a natural phenomenon we cannot guarantee you will see them.
