Welcome to stay aboard Northern Norways arctic explorer vessel almost in the middle of Tromsø city centre with direct access to all activities. Our vessel has 4 decks with retro bar restaurant and outdoor deck where you can watch northern lights when its there in the comfort of a ship.

MS Tromsø is more than a boat — it’s a floating history. The ship has hosted grand adventures, international TV series, expeditions, and countless stories of Arctic exploration. Today, it combines tradition with comfort, featuring its own retro restaurant, bar, and kitchen, as well as an inviting observation deck where you can relax with a drink and enjoy panoramic views.

And how does it work? We sail almost every day cruises and you are welcome to join if you stay 2 or more days - We stay in dock every morning late evening and night and you can come and go 24/7. Can I join cruises? Yes you can and you are free to use your cabin @ any times.

 When do we cruise? Usually 10 AM to 2.30 PM and 6 PM to 9 PM to different fjords with different missions around Tromsø. As an overnight guests you can always be aboard and you can also make upgrade for king crab catching with dinner costing 990 NOK. (2500 NOK in town for dinner only). To apply for this the booking must be made online direct with us.

 During the cruise, you’ll hear fascinating stories about polar navigation, Arctic history, and even modern innovations like kelp-based biofuel production we produce to fuel this vessel. You’re welcome to visit the wheelhouse, talk with the captain and crew and learn about life at sea.

With space for 70 passengers and 28 beds for longer journeys, the MS Tromsø offers a warm and social atmosphere, far removed from the usual tourist trails. Join locals and fellow travelers in experiencing the real story of Tromsø — by sea, just like the explorers of the past.

Close to Tromsø´s main entertainment square and the main bridge & www.vervet.no and the city centre - the boat is docked Peaceful & friendly @ Fridtjof Nansens Plass 4 out on the pier, 9008 Tromsø. 169°39'14.5"N 18°58'09.6"E  where the famous arctic expeditions start. If you walk further across the bridge, you find the Arctic Cathedral and the gondola that bring you to the top of the mountain, and you are in walking distance from all hotels and places in city centre.
