Join us on a spectacular day trip from Haugesund to Åkrafjorden, where we combine a scenic drive, a photo stop at the majestic Langfoss waterfall, and an exciting Via Ferrata climb through the unique potholes of Rullestad.

We start the day with departure from the cruise pier in Haugesund, driving through stunning West Norwegian landscapes towards Åkrafjorden. After approximately one and a half hours, we stop at Åkrafjordtunet, where you receive a locally produced lunch pack. We then continue to Langfoss, ranked as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Here, we take a short break to enjoy the breathtaking view and capture photos of the 612-meter-high waterfall plunging directly into the fjord.

Next, we head to Åkrafjorden Nature, where you meet your climbing guide and receive all necessary climbing equipment and a safety briefing. Restroom facilities are available before we drive to the starting point at Rullestad. We begin with a 500-meter hike through varied terrain before reaching the Via Ferrata entry point. From here, we climb up the mountainside using iron steps, passing through several impressive potholes—natural rock formations sculpted by glaciers during the last Ice Age. Along the way, your guide will explain how the forces of nature created these remarkable formations.

After climbing approximately 150 meters in elevation, we reach the summit, Jettegrytenuten, where we are rewarded with a stunning panoramic view over Rullestad and Åkrafjorden. Here, we take a break to enjoy our packed lunch while taking in the magnificent scenery. The descent follows a scenic trail leading down to Skrumme Farm, where the bus awaits us.

After an adventure-filled day, we return to Haugesund, arriving at the cruise pier well in time before your ship’s departure. The tour lasts approximately 7 hours and offers a unique combination of spectacular Norwegian nature, local culture, and an unforgettable Via Ferrata experience.
