Cross-Country ski instructor – Level 1

This is the first step in your education as a cross-country ski instructor.

The course is specifically designed for those who wish to work at a ski school or as an instructor/coach in Norway.

The focus is on developing your personal skiing skills, while also providing a solid foundation in basic pedagogy and communication.

Through a combination of theory and practical sessions, we prepare you to teach children, youth, and adult beginners in a safe, engaging, and inspiring way.

After successfully completing the course, you will be qualified to work as an instructor for beginners at Norwegian ski schools and sports clubs. You will have gained both the knowledge and practical skills needed to create meaningful and joyful ski experiences for your students – and to inspire a lifelong love of skiing in the winter mountains.

Tilleggsinformasjon

All participants are required to bring their own cross-country equipment – both classic and skate skis. Equipment rental is available at Beitostølen Ski Rental, but we recommend using your own gear if possible. Being familiar with your equipment provides a better foundation for learning and progression throughout the course.
