The tour begins at our office in Beitostølen, where you will meet your guide who will make sure everyone is properly equipped and prepared for a few hours out on the ice.
We then drive down into the valley, through snow-covered forests and peaceful winter landscapes, until we reach Øyangen. Øynagen is a private mountain lake surrounded by snowy trees and the view of the mountains.
Here, a tranquil and atmospheric experience awaits you on the ice.

We light a fire and serve warm drinks while you fish. If we’re lucky and catch something, the fish is prepared over the open fire and served with help from the guide.
Sitting by your own hole on the ice, feeling the crisp air on your cheeks and listening to the crackle of the fire – it brings a special kind of calm that can only be found in wintertime.
The tour requires a moderate level of physical fitness, as there’s a short walk out onto the ice. We often use snowshoes to reach the fishing spot.
Remember to dress warmly and wear good winter boots to stay comfortable.
The guide will take care of all necessary equipment and fishing permits.
Øyangen is also one of our summer gems, offering boat rental, sauna, and a shelter, but in winter it transforms into a magical arena for ice fishing and unique winter adventures.
