Join us on a journey through Sámi history and culture – with film, exhibitions, and a visit to an authentic Sámi settlement.
Start with the film The Struggle for Saltfjellet, which offers a poignant insight into the history of Sámi rights, nature conservation, and the artists’ commitment. Then, we take you on a tour of the Life and Work exhibition, where you will learn how Sámi culture and history are intertwined with the landscape and conservation areas.
The tour also includes a short walk to Roparneset, where you will visit an authentic Sámi settlement with turf huts and storehouses. Here, you will experience how Sámi traditions have survived and evolved in the face of modern times.
As an add-on, the tour can be wrapped up with a pleasant moment around the fire, where you can reflect on your impressions with a cup of freshly brewed campfire coffee.
