About the experience

A unique roundtrip through the fantastic fjord landscape.

Experience the magestic Sognefjorden and Viking Valley.

See the beautiful fjord landscape, both from the seaside and from the winding roads of western Norway. On this roundtrip from Vik to Gudvangen and back again, we combine an refreshing RIB-boat adventure on the UNESCO Nærøyfjord, with a comfortable bus trip through magnificent Norwegian cultural landscape. On water we travel through the spectacular World Heritage Nærøyfjord landscape, where thundering waterfalls and dramatic mountain cliffs offers an impressive contrast to lush green forests and hillsides. We pass small, idyllic farms nestled on the Sognefjord shores and take a closer look at the 20m tall statue of Fridtjov the Brave. From the seaside you will be able to feel the breathtaking power of cascading waterfalls and even get a fresh splash of sea water on your face. Seeing the fjord landscape from a RIB-boat offers fantastic visuals and photo opportunities you don´t want to miss.

The boat trip takes around 1.5 hours and we will dress you up in a warm safety suit to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.

On land, walk with us on a guided tour to the Viking Village of Gudvangen. Travel back in time and experience old Norwegian traditional crafts and get an understanding of how Norwegians have lived with and off the land through the ages. In the Viking Village we sit down for a "Viking lunch" before we continue on our journey.

The visit to the Viking village takes around 2.5 hours.

Enjoy the view of the landscape from narrow and winding roads. The bus takes you over the Vikafjellet mountain, an important road for the townspeople of Vik. On the Vikafjellet mountain you can say hello to the snow that seldom leaves in summer. Experience how the landscape almost swallows the roads whole, making us humans feel tiny compared to the power of nature. On our way we pass well known landmarks and popular views such as Stalheimskleiva, Storesvingen and Hopperstad Stave church. We make sure to stop so you can take pictures, catch your breath and enjoy the view.

The journey by bus takes around 2.5 hours.
