Discover the rich culinary heritage of Northern Norway on this guided Sunday food wander through the heart of Tromsø!
Join us on a unique walking experience where history, culture and traditional flavors come together.
This two hour adventure will begin outside Tromsø Cathedral where your guide will meet you. On the guided tour through the city you'll have two traditional tastings of whale meat and cured salmon. On our way to the final destination you will also have a cup of a popular local non-alcoholic beverage. At the secret dining room you'll get to taste 3 additional Norwegian and arctic foods, including reindeer meat and the traditional lefse.
To ensure the freshest ingredients and authenticity the food and drinks may change with the seasons.
Tour highlights:
- Guided City stroll: Enjoy a walk through Tromsø's streets as your guide shares insights into the city's history, culture and Arctic culinary traditions.
- Tasting strops: Along the route you'll get to taste two different traditional arctic delicacies. You'll get to enjoy a hot or cold drink, tailored to the season and weather.
- Secret dining spot: Conclude your journey at a secret dining room, where you'll in three traditional dishes. You'll also get hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks at the dining room.
- Small group: This tour has a maximum of 12 participants

- Alcoholic beverages are not included on this tour

Notes:
- Since our dining room is placed on the second floor of a really old building, we don’t have elevators to aid those in wheelchairs. However, if you have disabilities of any kind and want to come with us, please get in touch and we’ll do our best to arrange the tour to be accessible for everyone.
- Please be at the meeting point at least 5 minutes prior to tour start. It’s such a drag when 10 people has to stand around and wait for the last two
- The tour is based on traditional North Norewgian food, which includes meat and fish. This makes it hard for us to provide pure vegetarian or vegan options. For groups we may set up a special tour and create a vegan/vegetarian experience. Please get in touch with your request.
- If you have any allergies it's your responsibility to inform us before the tour starts. We will try to facilitate for all to join, the sooner we know the more we can do to adjust our tours.

If you're allergic to fish this tour might not be the right one for you. Fish is a main ingredient in our cuisine, which makes it hard to avoid using it.
We will not be able to serve halal or kosher variations of our cured meat tastings.
