Get your camera ready to take outstanding shots of our whales! In our RIB boats, you remain close to the water and have a spectacular view of these beautiful animals. Included in the ticket is a visit to our new whale exhibition. With a short distance to the whales, the tours last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours.
The waters of Andenes are highly productive, attracting a great diversity of both baleen and toothed whales! Several species are here all year round, and it is a short way out to see the whales.
Our two brands, Whalesafari Andenes and Whale2Sea combine whale watching and research on these wonderful animals. Our guides are highly trained and are skilled communicators about the whale species, their social life and much more. Captains and guides are also highly trained in safety and will take good care of you as a guest!
Our peak summer season is for 2025, from June to September. If you want to experience the midnight sun, she is in Vesterålen from the 23rd of May to the 23rd of July. Included in the ticket, you can visit our brand new whale exhibition. Here you can experience, among other things, three real whale skeletons. We also offer daily lectures in the Whale Centre about the ongoing research at 6 pm. The exception is when the researchers have a weekly meeting. Please tell us in advance if you are interested in our lectures.
DURATION:
The trip lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. The trip can be longer or shorter depending on factors such as where we find the whales, weather and sea conditions.
WILDLIFE:
Remember, whales are wild animals! While we have a very high success rate for whale sightings, we cannot guarantee that the whales can be seen on every trip. BUT if the boat does not find any cetaceans, you have the possibility to have a new trip for free on the first available tour, or any time in the future.
