Bispen is the mountain that welcomes you to the Kingdom of Romsdal. The mountain rises straight up from the Trollstigen plateau and stretches 1462 mighty metres above sea level. The Bishops hike runs along the southern ridge of the mountain with elements of scrambling and easy climbing. The trail is exposed and offers magnificent views. The ridge has steep passages (grade 3+) and an edge towards the top. Return down the north side of the mountain.
To reach Bispen you must be in good physical shape and have experience from similar hikes. Climbing experience is not necessary, but you should be comfortable hiking in exposed terrain.
