Intro Wall
The Intro Wall is a 3-4 hour climbing trip from the start at Norsk Tindesenter until we are back there again. The time on the wall varies between 1,5 - 2 hours. The trip is perfect for those who want to try via ferrata for the first time. No prior knowledge of climbing required, but you must be in normally good physical shape.
The route is graded level B on the international Via Ferrata scale. If you go on your own and have children, its min. weight 40 kg. Adults must be comfortable with heights and look after the minors the entire trip. For a safe and secure trip, each adult must be responible for a maximum of one child under the age of 15.
Randers Wall
Randers Wall is a climbing route up to Nesaksla, completed in September 2024. The route runs near the existing "Vestveggen" (West Wall) and follows the easier sections of that climb. The full trip takes about 4–6 hours from the starting point at Norsk Tindesenter and back. Time spent on the wall itself is usually between 3 and 4.5 hours.
On the international Via Ferrata scale, the route is rated at an average C. Unlike the Introveggen (B) and Vestveggen (D), Randers Wall follows the mountain’s natural formations and includes fewer artificial aids like iron rungs. After climbing Randers Wall, you'll get the chance to finish on the final part of Vestveggen – which includes a suspension bridge and a climbing section graded B/C.
Randers Wall gives you a true taste of mountain climbing! Good physical condition is recommended, as well as confidence in steep terrain. Prior climbing experience is helpful, but not required. The route is not suitable for those with severe fear of heights.
