The Queen gracefully adorns the northern flank of the King, her summit crowned with a striking silhouette that commands the skyline. The hike to Dronninga is longer, steeper and more demanding than that of her consort. The summit can be reached from Kongen or via the equally steep and demanding route from Vikdalen in Innfjorden on the opposite side.
The summit presents an elongated ridge dotted with petite spires, culminating in its highest point near Kongen. The Queen’s route can be climbed via Vippesteinen, a characteristic boulder that balances on Dronnings’s initial peak. Reaching the summit not only rewards you with breathtaking views but also a moment of triumph to etch into your collection of proud memories. Return the same way.
